Communication and relationships with employees is key to our continuous improvement.

We hold quarterly meetings with the entire work-force, updating the staff on any major changes or developments. We also have separate group meetings taking place at different levels, including management, supervisor and engineering staff.

Tanelec offers educational programmes to staff should there be long-term benefits for the company. We help, encourage and sponsor our people through part time studies. We have cases where we have sponsored people through MBA courses for example.

Tanelec is well-regarded within Tanzania for the way it looks after and treats its employees. We provide full medical cover for employees, their spouses and their children as well as providing transport to and from the factory and free meals every day.

Our low employee turnover tells its own story. People come here and then they stay because they like working for us. Tanelec has health and safety policies, including regular meetings to find ways to improve the working conditions for its employees. Tanelec also provides regular HIV/AIDS education and counseling.
